Meet Dr. Cleary

  • Native of Winnetka, Illinois and graduated high school Cum Laude

  • Earned a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in all subjects from Cornell University

  • Graduated with distinction from Northwestern University Medical School with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, 1981

  • Attended University of Illinois School of Medicine where he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine, 1985

  • Served his internship and residency in medicine at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, 1985-1988

  • Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Michigan Hospitals, 1988-1992 and then a Senior Fellowship and advanced training in Surface Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography  

  • Lecturer at the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Hospitals and the Veterans Administration Medical Center both in Ann Arbor, 1992-1995

  • Certified with the Michigan Board of Medicine

  • Certified with the Michigan Board of Pharmacy

  • Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine Cardiovascular Disease

  • Certified with the Indiana Board of Medicine, and the Indiana Board of Pharmacy

  • Certified with the National Board of Medical Examiners

  • Holds a Controlled Substance Registration Certificate with the US Dept. of Justice DEA

  • ABIM: Interventional Cardiology Qualification

  • Holds numerous Subspecialty Procedure Certifications and accreditations

  • Has received many honors and awards, participated in several teaching activities, served as a lecturer at conferences, on the university level, and continues to serve on various committees

  • He also has an extensive bibliography contributing to both          publications and abstracts
